What is your book about? Book one is about my service in the infantry during the Cold War. Book two: Serving in Germany during Cold War. Book three: Serving in South Korea. Book four: The Cold War at sea, in the air, and at home.
What inspired you to write your book? I wanted to show how difficult it was serving under the threat of a war with the Soviets.
Can you describe your writing process? I just sit down and write. The words come pretty easily.
How did you come to do what you’re doing today? My first book about my military career was so well received by other Cold War veterans I decided to turn it into a series and tell their stories.
Can you describe a typical day in your life? Most of my day is centered around my family. We are raising three granddaughters, which keeps us pretty busy. I try to write as frequently as I can.
What do you most enjoy about what you do? I enjoy working with other veterans and telling the history of the Cold War through their service.
What’s next for you? I just finished the second book of series and have started the third book. I have two more to write in the series and then four other books already laid out in my head that I want to write.
