What is your book about?
This book will completely change the way readers think about food, giving them a powerful strategy for conquering emotional eating and other barriers to weight-loss success.
What inspired you to write your book?
As a weight-loss coach, I wanted better materials on psychological issues of weight loss, so I wrote the book I wanted to give to my clients.
If you have a business related to your book, tell us about it:
Weight Loss for Life, Inc. – Coaching and health education services.
What is a typical day like for you?
My days involve a combination of writing and doing online work such as posting on my blog. Right now, I’m not working on a book but am writing articles for magazines.
What do you most enjoy about what you do?
I love being creative and pushing myself to keep learning and growing in my work.
What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?
Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg.
What advice do you have to offer our readers?
Keep writing, even during times when it’s hard to push yourself. Some days, just write one sentence or two and label yourself as successful. Never give up on the goal of being published.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Out of the six books I have written, two of them are traditionally published books that were done without having an agent. Both of these happened as a result of connecting and building relationships with people in the industry.
What’s next for you?
My next project will be to publish a series of e-books on areas of weight-loss success. This will include topics such as motivation, stress management and self-esteem.
