The Review is the oldest literary magazine in California. We publish biannually and will be printing the second issue of our 108th volume this winter. Though we are student-run, we are not an undergraduate magazine. Much of the Review features young and emerging writers and artists alongside established professionals. We have published several highly successful writers in recent issues, including Mighty Mike McGee, Frederick Luis Aldama, Aaron Shurin, and many others!
Send us your non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and art by February 19th for our Spring 2021 issue. We are open to all styles and themes and publish work from around the world. We are especially looking to publish writing from Black writers, Indigenous writers, writers of color, and LGBTQIA2S+ writers. Your best flash non-fiction, satires and humorous pieces, and short screenplays and plays will be sure to catch our eye! This is also a call for virtual art. We publish 12 pages of full-color art and photography! For submission guidelines and details, please visit santaclarareview.com.
