Marcelle Soviero is the owner and editor-in-chief of Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers, and Brain, Teen: The Magazine for Thinking Parents — magazines that combined have earned more than 30 literary award and magazine design prizes.

Marcelle has taught writing at every level – from children to teens to the elderly in hospice care. She has published and edited prize-winning authors, including Ann Hood and Laura Pritchett, and has edited hundreds of writers for publication on Brain Child and elsewhere.

A writer who both a writing teacher and a writer who writes, Marcelle has published dozens of essays in publications including New York Times, NPR, Salon, and Creative Nonfiction. She has an MFA from New York University and a BA in Creative Studies from Hofstra University. She lives in Wilton, Connecticut with her husband and
