Author bio
Lesley Handel has been honored to hold both a DOD and DOJ security clearance, but was most excited about getting a Pentagon Library card. While living in Washington DC, she wrote reports for, and on behalf of, numerous federal agencies and offices. Before graduating magna cum laude with a BA in Political Science, she studied journalism and nonfiction at the College of Santa Fe, where she also served as a staff writer and assistant editor to the college's newspaper. Lesley has lived alone in a desert cave, been a paid Congressional intern, and is a fan of the oxford comma. When she's not failing spectacularly at drinking only two cups of coffee a day, she's researching her book about growing up next to the Los Alamos National Laboratory, which will explore the human cost of defense-driven science.
