Ken Atkins

As a child raised on a small North Texas dairy farm, Ken learned the reality and responsibility for caring for others, skills that would serve him well 30 years later as he struggled as a single dad to raise his daughter and special needs son. His professional life as a teacher, newspaper editor, magazine writer and salesman gave him a wide range of life experiences and skills that would prove invaluable in navigating the challenges of parenthood, but it would be the lessons he learned from his nonverbal son and the grace of his faithful savior and creator that would eventually lead him to find the real purpose for the journey.
