It also considers the impact of over-tourism and environmental impact, so future strategies need to consider these too.

I have been writing reviews and longer reports for Silver Travel Advisor for more than 6 years and am a regular contributor for them. I write reviews wherever and whenever I travel, including hotels, restaurants and attractions, especially food and wine-tastings. Recent reviews include Wine Tasting in Bordeaux, vineyard visit in Malta, across Canadian Rockies by train, river cruise of the Rhine, Aida opera in Verona, and Zip World in Wales.
The “Walking Wales: Art Lover’s Guide to…” series is based on long-distance treks I have completed, my journals and photographs, plus old paintings of places along the route courtesy of National Library of Wales. I have completed long-distance treks for charity in Venezuela, Cuba and Sicily.
Having completed full-time B.Ed(Hons) degree in 1985, I started my own Management Training Consultancy 1987 – I have an MBA and my PhD is on health and safety in small firms. At the same time, I was distance learning tutor with the OCA on history of art modules, completing a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts (2011) based on creative writing and printmaking. I am author/tutor on 4 Distance Learning History of Art courses for Aberystwyth University.
I was an international Speaker & Presenter for many years – including UN Congress on Women in China - representing small firms and women entrepreneurs, and after writing articles in a range of magazines and journals, had my first book published in 2000. I started my own small publishing company in 2015.
I have been married to Leslie for 38 years, have 5 sons plus 3 stepchildren, 24 grandchildren between us and 5 great-grandchildren. We live near the sea in Wales in UK.
