She currently serves as the Editor Judge Coordinator for the North American Book Awards. Cristen is also a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association and the Idaho Life Coach Association.

She is passionate about leadership development; personal empowerment through entrepreneurship; health and wellness; and medical anthropology, including global health.

Cristen has experience with government, non-profit, and for-profit agencies and organizations. She served on the board of a non-profit organization and as editor for their bi-monthly newsletter. Her business background includes risk management, insurance, and investments. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boise State University with a degree in Anthropology.

Cristen has served as the president of a Toastmasters International club, and her public speaking experience includes a workshop presentation at Boise’s annual Smart Women, Smart Money event and co-presenting with Dr. Robert Graff at Idaho Health and Welfare’s 2013 Spring Epidemiology Conference on the topic of evolutionary medicine.

Her interests are broad. And her love of the written word, nonfiction and fiction, combined with a business-minded approach to manuscript evaluation allows Cristen to identify marketable work and develop marketing strategies that help authors: reach their target audience; sell more books, products, and services; establish themselves as industry and thought leaders; and have upward mobility in the literary world.

An avid mountain biker, rock climber, hiker, and snowshoer, Cristen is a lover of all things out of doors.
