Lost in Italy and Loving it!
A 30-day adventurous memoir of one couple’s trip through Umbria and Tuscany, visiting hill towns, getting lost, enjoying museum stops, getting lost, meeting farm to table growers, and cooking up a storm. Illustrative recipes and photos, agritourism tips and references included.
Foothill Farms to Table — a personal perspective of farmers, ranchers, growers in El Dorado County, their products, where and how they are used. Not a coffee table book, but one to help you and your family learn more about the who-what-where-and why of food with recipes and tips for use in the home kitchen.
Placerville, CA, USA
After a 20 year corporate administrative career, Betty became a Certified Professional Photographer with a portrait studio in the Bay Area from 1980-2000. She discovered that she could pursue her love for Naturopathy and earned a Doctorate through the Trinity College of Natural Health, specializing in Nutrition. Moving to Placerville in 2003, Betty catered as a personal chef for clients and customers at the local farmers market and sold a line of gluten free baked goods, as well as sauces, chutneys, and relishes to local businesses. After a trip to Itally in 2014, she returned to her love of writing and published “Lost in Italy and Loving it!” through Amazon’s Kindle Books. Her next venture is a far reaching story of the El Dorado farmer, rancher, grower in full color, with recipes to match their farm to table products.
