Author bio
Dr. Laurie Yates holds a Doctor of Management from George Fox University and an MBA from the University of Oregon. Currently, she is the Director of Accreditation at the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). IACBE accredits Business, Accounting, and Business-Related Degree Programs Worldwide. As Director, Dr. Yates oversees all accreditation-related strategies and activities.
Since 2000, she has held numerous teaching and administrative positions in higher education. Dr. Yates presents at national and international academic conferences in her areas of expertise which include leadership, ethics, business education, and accreditation. Additionally, she is a reviewer for a number of academic journals including the Journal of Leadership Education and the Journal for Advancing Business Education, as well as national and international conference submissions. Dr. Yates actively engages in research and scholarship, publishing in a variety of peer reviewed journals such as the International Leadership Journal, the Western Journal of Human Resource Management, and the Journal of Values-Based Leadership. She is currently working on her next project, Leading in a Disruptive World: Discovering Your Adaptive DNA, a book about organic leadership in an upside-down world.
