A Rose By Any Other Name…. (working title)
I’m currently writing my first book, which is about names–those we’re given (and most often blindly accept), those we choose for others, how names impact us at a soul level, and what happens if we’re fabulously rebellious enough to change our names, taking on new ones.

Anastacia Brice adores the fact that, each and every day, she gets to support women in having successful businesses and lives they love. As a coach and trainer, she provides her clients with thoughtful insights, sage advice, discerning strategies, and proactive problem solving, all of which are born from her unconventional life experience, her business acumen, and her pioneering heart.

In 1993, Anastacia was fired from the last full-time job she would ever have. Having believed the path of steady employment would give her the security and life she was meant to have, she spent more than a few days crying, moaning and worrying about what she was going to do next.

She got angry; then clear that that she would never again give anyone the power to pull the rug out from under her livelihood again. She immediately stopped looking for jobs and turned her attention to creating her own future: first as an virtual admin for hire (long before it was easy or cool to work virtually), then as a professional business coach in 1996, and in 1997, formalizing the Virtual Assistance profession by creating her company, AssistU, where she’s trained, coached, certified, and referred hundreds of the world’s best Virtual Assistants, and consulted to the business owners who work with them.

Believing in having no plan B, she’s spent the past 20 years happily and successfully making her own way, and working with other women who want to do the same.
Today, in addition to coaching, and training, Anastacia writes and shares a bold message that’s near and dear to her heart: the life we’re given isn’t the life we’re required to live, and it’s our absolute birthright and sacred duty to live life as it makes sense to us, every moment of every day.

Anastacia is absolutely subversive in all the best ways.
I teach self-revolution; subverting the life one lives by default in order to live life according to her truth.

“The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily or mental, or spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest.” — John Stuart Mill
