The Spanish version will be publicly launched on Saturday, December 2nd from 1-4 pm and hosted by the Biblioteca Criolla (New Jersey’s largest Spanish public library in Jersey City). “Juguemos SHESS” empowers Latina/Hispanic girls and women to take proactive steps towards personal and professional growth and development. A children’s book series is also in the works and Oliveras hopes to have the first book available late next year.
Oliveras is a recent recipient of the “Women of Action” Award given by City Hall, Jersey City, including Mayor Healy and the municipal Council. She was President of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) Hudson County Chapter from April 2010 to April 2012. As a devoted advocate to empower women worldwide and at all levels through chess, she continues her passionate leadership role of inspiring, motivating, and guiding girls and women in their personal and start-up endeavors, including business development here and abroad.
Oliveras holds a Masters of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Human Resources Management and a post-Masters Certification in Career Development and Planning from The New School in New York City.
