Dictionary of Publishing Terms: What Every Writer Needs to Know
Dictionary of Publishing Terms: What Every Writer Needs to Know uses simple language to explain the words most often used in publishing. From ISBN and index, to gutter and greyscale, the professional terms and book elements you need to know are finally all in one place, organized as you would find them in a real book. Just start at the front cover and there’s the information – where you need it, when you need it. A workbook, dictionary, and guide all in one. The “must-have” book to help writers understand publishing lingo and take their story from words-on-paper to book-in-hand.

“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” My dad, George C. Lundquist, self-employed insurance investigator who came from Stockholm on a ship at age 13, with his younger sister in tow, and learned English by reading newspaper headlines.

“Lime punch will be lovely in April.” My mom, Jessamine Lee Lundquist, volunteer wedding coordinator at the church for 35 years. (The message here is patience. I must have heard mom say this 1,000 times to brides and every time she said it, she made it sound like the first time and the bride felt special.)
