Author bio
On the 20th anniversary of the onset of Crohn's symptoms, Joan finished writing "Business from Bed: The 6-Step Comeback Plan to Get Yourself Working Again after a Health Crisis." (Demos Health, Dec. 2012) As a result of Joan's experience with Crohn's Disease, along with trends she found in her coaching practice, Joan discovered a need for a book that addresses the unique challenges for business owners dealing with health issues.

Often, business professionals who are frustrated or embarrassed by their limited capacity (due to ill health and/or competing family priorities) worry that their limitations hinder their ability to succeed in business. Joan says no. She shows business owners how to turn their perceived limitations into a business advantage, and to achieve success on their terms.

Joan coaches independent entrepreneurs throughout the U.S., in Canada and Europe. She is a compassionate and well-respected workshop facilitator, as she has the unique ability to combine deeply personal questions with practical approaches that produce meaningful real world results.

She holds a B.A. in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley and is a graduate of Corporate Coach University. Joan currently resides in Sedona, Arizona.
