Author bio
I became a trainer when we adopted a puppy named Caffeine, whose name was apt and who gave us more than a few headaches.

My wife and I adopted her because we loved her spirit, and we didn’t want to break her – we just wanted her to stop destroying everything in sight.

I sought out training techniques that promised to keep her personality intact while showing me how to communicate with her in a way she understood.

I learned dog-friendly training processes at St. Hubert’s Dog Training School, where I became an instructor, and I continued my education with an Internship at Pat Miller’s Peaceable Paws and Level One and Two Instructor Training Course with Dogs of Course.

I learned how to communicate with Caffeine (the dog, not the drink), and we became closer. We had a lot of fun together. And she became a deeper and more essential member of our family with every passing day.

She’s still full of energy and spirit, but she’s no longer a headache. Just a bit of a handful.
Dog Spelled Forward is here to help you communicate better with your dog so he or she can understand why you want different behavior – and feel happy to oblige you.
