Google consistently ranks first among search engine internet searches conducted; however, it’s important to note that paid advertising on the other networks can cost much less due to lack of competition.
Google AdWords
Google AdWords (http://adwords.google.com) is the most popular option for paid search engine advertising because Google owns such a large share of the search market. Google offers a number of advertising options, including pay-per-click results on the main search engine and AdWords for Content.
AdWords for Content will place your ads on other websites that display related ads. For example, a website that features local businesses in your area could feature Google ads that display on the various site pages. If there is an article on the site related to what you do, your ad could get served up based on geography and the topic of the article. This can provide great additional exposure.
