Summer is a time when we typically relax and enjoy time with family and friends, as we should because making memories is what life is all about. But the slower summer months can also present an excellent opportunity to dedicate time to meet your author goals.
Whether you’re writing your first (or next) book, working to build your author platform or promoting your most recent book, we at the Nonfiction Authors Association want to challenge you to set your summer goals and share them with fellow writers in our community.
How the Summer Challenge Works
Each Monday in June and July, we will engage our community members in our private Facebook group and ask you to share the goals you’re setting for the coming week, and the accomplishments you’ve made from the prior week.
Consider this an opportunity to share in some accountability, cheer each other on, and move your goals forward!
Share Your Successes for a Chance to Win
Each time you share your goals and/or successes in our private Facebook group throughout the summer challenge, you will be entered in our raffle to receive a free Platinum Access Pass ($250 value) to the Fall Nonfiction Writers Conference, happening November 8-9, 2018! The raffle prize winner will be chosen at random in August.
(If you’re a VIP member or you’re already registered for NFWC FallCon and you’re chosen as a winner, you will have your choice of recordings from any past NFWC event.)

I think this is a great idea, Stephanie. Accountability is one of my greatest non-skill based needs and I’ve been looking for “effective” accountability solutions for some time. After multiple tries, I finally stumbled into a critique group that creates a sense of commitment and obligation that seems to work for me. I’m hoping this idea will help me gain additional motivation and sense of accountability from others I’m interacting with online as well. With any luck and good fortune, I can be part of delivering those accountability benefits to others through my contributions. Thanks, looking forward to “diving in and getting my feet wet.”
