Nonfiction Genre Groups are hosted with Zoom breakout rooms, allowing authors to gather for collaboration, connection, support, and brainstorming.NONFICTION GENRE GROUPS - MEETINGS FOR AUTHORS

How Nonfiction Genre Groups Work

Step 1: Members of the Nonfiction Authors Association can attend this monthly Zoom event and opt to appear on camera. (Not required, though encouraged.)

Step 2: Following a brief introduction, attendees are moved into small groups in breakout rooms, assigned by genre. The following genres are included.

  1. Memoir and Narrative Nonfiction
  2. Self-Development
  3. Business and Money
  4. Spiritual
  5. Science, History, Academic
  6. Health and Wellness

(We will expand to additional genres based on attendance and demand.)

Step 3: The breakout sessions begin with author introductions of up to two minutes each. Then each participant has up to 10 minutes to discuss a challenge or question. For example, you can ask for marketing ideas, discuss book title options, or invite participants to become beta readers.

Step 4: Participants are encouraged to connect with each other and collaborate by reading and reviewing each other’s books, co-promoting book launch announcements, interviewing each other for blogs and podcasts, and more.

Our hope is that these meetings will create relationships that evolve for years to come!

Step 2: Save the date on your calendar. These events take place on the fourth Wednesday each month at 10am PT / 1pm ET and last about 90 minutes.
