About Jim Horan

Jim Horan is an experienced Fortune 500 executive, small business expert, advisor to non-profits, consultant, author/publisher and speaker.  Currently he is the President/CEO of The One Page Business Plan Company.

Seventeen years ago, Jim did something incredibly brilliant or outrageously stupid…he simplified the business plan to a single page…and began a revolution which continues to this day.   Jim took a simple concept, created and self-published his first book, The One Page Business Plan for the Creative Entrepreneur which instantly became an Amazon best seller.  This book spawned a global cottage industry which now includes six books, desktop e-learning software, and enterprise planning and performance management software.

The One Page Business Plan for the Creative Entrepreneur book was published in 1997 and quickly became, and remains today an Amazon.com best-seller.  In 2006 the company published The One Page Business Plan for the Professional Consultant and The One Page Business Plan for Non-Profit Organizations.  In December 2007 the company published The One Page Business Plan for the Financial Service Professional. In 2009 it published the Spanish version of the Creative Entrepreneur and in January 2010 The One Page Business Plan for Women in Business and in March 2011 published The One Page Business Plan for the Busy Executive.  These books have been co-published in Korea, Viet Nam, India, EC-EU-UK, Estonia, Mexico and Central/South American.

The company is located in Berkeley, California.  It markets, sells and delivers its products, training and consulting services through its 500 senior consultants.
