About Lee Foster
Lee Foster is an award-winning and veteran travel writer/photographer whose work in travel and in publishing has appeared widely in books, magazines, newspapers, and on the Internet.
Lee has more than 500 articles on worldwide travel and on publishing on his website www.fostertravel.com. Many of these articles have run in leading publications, from Travel + Leisure to the Los Angeles Times. Lee’s current emphasis is on deepening his knowledge of California and writing about the state. He lives in Berkeley.
Lee’s travel writing/photography has won eight Lowell Thomas Awards, the highest awards in travel journalism. He has been named Travel Journalist of the Year.

Travel photography and photo marketing have always been a part of Lee’s content creation. For example, Lee has had photos published in more than 300 Lonely Planet travel guidebooks. Lee’s travel photos have appeared in all the major U.S. publications, from National Geographic to the New York Times.
Today, Lee’s photos are available directly to content buyers from his PhotoShelter site at http://stockphotos.fostertravel.com. Though the 7000 photos on the site primarily service travel magazines, there is also an inexpensive consumer Personal Publishing license available, for only $20. That license appeals to individuals who want a photo for their blog, article, book, or wall décor. Lee also distributes photos through three photo agencies.
