About Melanie Votaw
Melanie Votaw is an author, ghostwriter, editor, and book coach who has written 33 nonfiction books published by such houses as Hay House, Macmillan, Hyperion, and Perseus, to name a few. She specializes in self-help books and regularly works directly with publishers and literary agents, who recommend her to their authors. She has also ghostwritten many book proposals that have sold to top publishers, and she has developmentally edited more than 50 books that have won 32 international book awards.
As a book coach, Melanie loves helping authors from concept to completion to make sure their books are the best they can be. She works both individually and with online groups in her Finish Your Book and Finish Your Book Proposal coaching programs that help writers learn self-help book structure and industry best practices, stay motivated until their book is done, and alleviate that awful feeling of writer isolation.
