Carla King

Teleseminar with Carla King on the cool alternative self-publishing solutions authors can take advantage of.

Publishing Boot CampSelf-Publishing expert Carla King is an adventure travel journalist and author with a background in Silicon Valley high-technology. She self-published her first book in 1994 – a small guide to bicycling the French Riviera – and in 1995 she created a series of real time online dispatches from an exploration of America on the saddle of a Russian motorcycle for O’Reilly and Associates.

Aside from a pile of nearly 100 technical manuals, Carla has written and produced seven books, countless booklets, e-zines, and websites on the topics of adventure, writing, and self-publishing. In 2010 she founded Self-Pub Boot Camp, an indie pub school with books and workshops to help authors choose a self-publishing path using reputable, reliable, and cost effective tools and services.
