How “Agitating” Readers Sells More Books Youtube Video. How many books can you expect to sell? The truth about book sales and the keys to generating income from publishing

Admit it. There have been times in your life when you’ve gone out of your way to agitate someone… and you liked doing it. (We’ve all been there)

Well guess what, today you get to do it again. Because if you want to sell more books… you need to learn how to write marketing copy that agitates potential book buyers… in a good way.

Here’s what I mean…

When you write any piece of book marketing copy (back cover, Amazon description, etc.), you should always begin by writing about your readers first. And the first thing you want to write about is a need, desire, challenge, or thirst they have.

Now, you don’t want to simply mention this need or challenge. Instead, you want to put some juice into your writing. You want to amplify or stir up the need or challenge your reader has. You want to give it some heat!

The cool thing is that you can do this in a very positive way that attracts readers to you and your book.

In copywriting, we call this technique “agitating the need.”

When you learn how to master this skill (or at least get pretty good at it), you’ll engage more readers and sell more books.

Until next time, take a lot of action… and make things happen.
